Three Chances to Get Media Relations and Fundraising Advice

If you've been enjoying some of the advice you've been reading here, why not take the next step and take part in some other online learning experiences that will help your organization improve its media-relations strategy and fundraising results.

This month, I'll be taking part in a number of virtual events that will give you the chance to learn more about these important topics.

Here's where you can learn more:

Tony Martignetti Nonprofit Radio -- I'll be joining the popular Tony Martignetti Nonprofit Radio show to discuss the results of a new study I recently authored for The Chronicle of Philanthropy on Mulitchannel Fundraising. The study offers some interesting takeaways about how nonprofits are investing their resources as the number of fundraising channels grows. The podcast airs live today (Aug. 5) at 1 p.m.  and can be downloaded any time.

Media Relations for Family Foundations -- I'm partnering with the National Center for Family Philanthropy (a Panepento Strategies client) to share advice to family foundations and community foundations on how to tell their stories in the media. Special guests include Chronicle of Philanthropy editor Stacy Palmer and Inside Philanthropy editor and founder David Callahan. Join us on Thursday, Aug. 11, for this great event, which is specifically designed for family foundations and community foundations.

Media Relations at Your Nonprofit -- Nonprofit Marketing Guide subscribers can join me on Aug. 23 for a webinar that will explore media relations for nonprofits.

If you're a nonprofit communicator and you're not subscribing to Nonprofit Marketing Guide, I encourage you to check it out and consider the investment. Not only will you get access to advice on media relations, you'll also gain inside access to advice on marketing, communications, and social media from experts like Kivi Leroux Miller, Nancy Schwartz, and Tom Ahearn.
